Overview of Dr. Herndon
Dr. Carl Herndon is an orthopedic surgeon in Westchester County, NY and a faculty member within the department of orthoedics at Columbia University. He has privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester. He received his medical degree from University of Florida College of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his residency at Columbia University Medical Center where he also served as administrative chief resident in his final year. He then went on to complete the prestigious adult reconstruction fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC, one of the nation's leading centers for complex hip and knee reconstruction. He specializes in hip & knee reconstructive surgery and also performs lower extremity trauma surgery. He has more than 25 publications and over 100 citations. His research has been presented multile times at national meetings.
