Dr. Kathy Maupin, MD – Creve Coeur, MO

Dr. Kathy Maupin is a physician in private practice who established a cutting edge hormone replacement practice in 2002 in Creve Coeur, MO, and Kansas City, MO, called BioBalance Health LLC. She received her medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, received her Obstetrics and Gynecology training at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis and has been in practice 36 years. She practiced OBGYN for 29 years and overlapped her hormone practice for the last 19 years. Her Kansas City BioBalance Health Practice started in 2006, and she began BioBalance Skin Practice in St. Louis Missouri, a Medical Spa Practice that is a full service Skin care practice. She is experienced in hormone therapy, traumatic brain injury, growth hormone deficiency, reproductive and sexual endocrinology, and women's health.
Dr. Maupin has been active in political change in Missouri by writing two Healthcare policies that were voted into law, one to mandate health insurance companies to pay doctors within 120 days and pay interest if payments take longer than that. Her last successful legislative policy change was the Missouri Women's healthcare Initiative in 2002 that guaranteed women would have insurance coverage for breast reconstructive surgery after breast cancer, as well as all female cancers, mammograms, pap smears and that women would not have to ask permission from primary care to see a gynecologist. She was also active in the St. Louis Medical Society and Missouri Medical Society for a decade as officers in both organizations.

She has written two books one for women in 2014, The Secret Female Hormone, Hay House, and Got Testosterone? 2019 for men who have Testosterone Deficiency. In 2020 Dr. Maupin received the National Independent Publisher's Award for Men's Health for 2019.
